Butterfly Kiss Review for Good Vibrations

The Butterfly Kiss from GoodVibes is pink. Even if you get the purple one, it’s pink in soul. It’s small, it’s soft, it’s shimmery, it has a “butterfly”, it’s decorated with little hearts. It’s like a vibe for Barbie. And as always, it would be a big mistake to equate femininity with weakness.

GoodVibes’ Butterfly Kiss is waterproof and made of phthalate-free TPR, so you can use it with silicone lube in the tub. Water-based lube also plays well with it. There are other “Butterfly Kiss” toys on the market that are made of gross phthalate-laden jelly, so be careful not to get them confused. There are also other TPR “Butterfly Kiss” toys on the market, but this one is made exclusively for GoodVibes. As far as I can tell from reading reviews, GV’s Butterfly Kiss is much stronger than others. It takes two AAA batteries and is controlled by a push button on the bottom. There are three speeds, which for me are as follows: “very nice”, “strong and orgasmic”, and “sounds like a lawnmower and is not going near my genitals”.

The Butterfly Kiss is a dual stimulator, vibrating on both the clit and in the vagina at once. It feels like they made the butterfly part first and then added the insertable portion, instead of just plopping some pathetic animal that doesn’t hit the right place on a straight vibe. This butterfly’s body covers my entire clit, and vibrates nicely on my labia as well. (The wings don’t really “flutter”, but they do vibrate a little.) I can control how much pressure I want, just like with any normal clitoral vibe. The antennae even dig pleasurably into the top of my clit.

As for the insertable portion: it works. It feels very nice in my vagina, and stimulates my g-spot, though it’s not the first toy I’d recommend for primarily g-spot stimulation. In the right positions, I can thrust the Butterfly Kiss wildly and the “butterfly” keeps stimulating my clit. It actually gives me a feeling somewhat similar to K’s foreskin, and I sometimes wish there were smaller butterflies surrounding the vibe to mimic that feeling even better.

Even though I have lots of high-end, fancy sex toys, I still like the Butterfly Kiss. It feels great, I can grab it to use quickly with just a little lube, and it gives me big blended orgasms. While I normally choose to use a dildo plus a vibrator, I think the Butterfly Kiss will get quite a workout in the bath, since it’s easier to deal with than two toys.

One problem with the toy: its strength comes at a price. It’s a battery guzzler. If you want the Butterfly Kiss, get some rechargeable AAAs to go with it.

If you think the Butterfly Kiss looks right for you, it probably will be. It would be a good first vibe, since it’s a phthalate-free dual stimulator that actually works, and is only $18.

Thanks, GoodVibes, for sending me the Butterfly Kiss to review! Good Vibrations is offering free shipping on orders of $50 or more until December 16th, so it’s a great time to grab a few inexpensive toys like the Butterfly Kiss for friends.

  • There is also an i10 version (with patterns). I have the regular TPR and No 3 is a bit too much for me too. So I only use it when I’m impatient.
Does the GV Butterfly have the defect on the front (on the spot where you keep your index finger in the first pic)? All the regular ones seem to do.

I have this too. The only thing that really made me like it (because it is too powerful for me) is that it isn’t a battery-eater. All of my toys are rechargeable and I was really hesitant to go back to batteries but it was so cheap and I wanted a rabbit-style toy. Batteries are still going. Yay!

That really surprises me, because it sucked the life out of two pairs of AAAs for me in about 2 hours. I have rechargeable batteries now that I always use with it.
