K and I are always looking for simple, easy to use, effective bondage tools. Our first restraint system from Sportsheets was a success in all these categories, so we were hopeful that the Sportsheets Bondage Bar from Fascinations would be equally successful. I’m happy to report that it surpassed our expectations.
The Bondage Bar is a combination of a spreader bar and wrist cuffs. The bar isn’t adjustable, but it’s a good width for all sorts of play — wide enough for a real spread, but not too wide for comfort. I’m not flexible at all, so I worried that having my wrists and ankles bound to the bar at the same time would be painful, but it’s actually pretty comfortable. (Though it does allow for uncomfortable positions as well.) The attached velcro cuffs are soft, strong, and highly adjustable. I might be able wriggle my wrists out of them if I worked at it, but they don’t come loose during normal play. It works just as well on K; when we tested the bar on him, he said, “I doubt I could have gotten out.”
Using the Bondage Bar is a snap; it
takes about thirty seconds to restrain someone with it. K reaches for it more than any other restraint. When my wrists and ankles are bound to it, I can’t roll over on my own. I feel like a turtle turned onto its shell. K has to roll me over if he wants access to another part of me. Spanking, discipline, vaginal and anal sex, in quite a few different positions, are all fully possible while using the bar. It hardly gets in the way at all. Also, the G-spot stimulating position I think of as knees-almost-at-your-ears is really easy in the Bondage Bar; I don’t get tired holding my legs back while stuck in it, because the bar and K are doing all the work for me.
I could tell you about different positions to use with the Bondage Bar, but I would feel like I was telling you how to walk and chew gum at the same time. It’s just that easy to use. It’s simple, comfortable, effective, and binding. The Bondage Bar allows me to submit utterly and gives K total control — that’s pretty great for a restraint that takes less than a minute to put on.
If you like bondage at all, there’s no reason you shouldn’t own a Sportsheets Bondage Bar. Even if you’re an expert who likes to rig elaborate suspension bondage scenes, this bar would be great for travel. I know it will be coming on all of our vacations.
Thanks, Fascinations, for sending me the Bondage Bar to review! Unfortunately, they’ve since discontinued the Sportsheets Bondage Bar, but they have a lot of other Sportsheets products, including the excellent Under the Bed Restraint System. If you do want the Bondage Bar, you can get it at Amazon by clicking here.

We have one of these. I really like it.
The kitty’s eating it!
(We own one of these and love it.)
