Ellove Review for Fascinations

When Fascinations told me they were sending me the Fun Factory Ellove to review, I went to Google to try to figure out its name. What I learned: technically, it’s spelled elLOVE. I’m going to use “Ellove” though, because the word elLOVE makes me go >:{. But the vibe makes me go .

I like the Ellove’s packaging. It comes in a pretty, sturdy cardboard box; an instructional pamphlet, sample of Fun Factory’s water-based lubricant, and advertisement for Fun Factory’s other toys are included. No big-haired open-mouthed models here. The box would be a snap to wrap if you wanted to give the vibe as a present, too.

The Ellove itself is a high-quality toy. Its shaft is 100% silicone, making it body safe and sanitizable. It’s truly waterproof; I’ve used it in the bath multiple times, completely submerging it, and I’ve never seen a drop of water get in the battery compartment. It takes four AAA batteries, so its vibrations are quite strong, but the silicone cushions them. I have never gotten a numb clitoris from this toy, no matter how long I’ve played with it.  It’s easy to operate and has multiple vibration patterns: a steady hum that can go from low to high, and three thumping pulsating speeds. I like the lowest steady speed and the first two pulsating patterns best. Most women who like strong vibrations should be  happy with the Ellove, because not only are its normal vibrations strong, but the vibe also has a “turbo boost” button. I think of this as the “you will orgasm NOW” button.

The Ellove’s shape is also wonderful. It can provide diffuse external vibrations by laying it straight, or pinpoint ones by turning it sideways and placing the tip between your lips. Its shaft flexes a bit, allowing the user to reach places much more easily than with the typical hard vibe. While it doesn’t hone in laser-like on my g-spot, its size and slight flexibility do stimulate my g-spot. Speaking of the size, at 1.75 inches in diameter and 6 inches in length, this is the largest insertable sex toy I own. I have to be more than warmed up to pleasurably take it in, even with plenty of lubricant, but when I do, it provides a nice, full feeling. Unfortunately, its vibrations are too strong for me to enjoy them internally, even on the lowest setting.

The Ellove’s silicone is velvety and matte. While this texture feels awesome on the labia and clitoris and oddly comforting internally (so long as you don’t try to thrust a lot), the surface drag can make the toy unpleasant to remove. My vagina likes to keep a death grip on it, and I have to wiggle it and pull slowly to get it out. The matte silicone also picks up every stray hair and piece of lint fast. This is not a toy you can leave out, even for a couple minutes, then use without rinsing.

Though it’s not perfect for me, I like my Ellove. Women who enjoy generously-sized toys with strong internal vibrations will probably get the most out of this vibrator. Both the pink and violet colors are on sale at Fascinations right now, so it’s a great time to pick one up.
